Sophie Zhu, PhD

Sophie is a Ph.D. candidate in epidemiology whose research focuses on the ecology and epidemiology of Toxoplasma gondii oocyst shedding in free-ranging cats and risk analysis for exposure in marine mammals. She is interested in approaching research with a One Health lens and hopes to become a professor one day focusing on qualitative and quantitative research. When not in lab Sophie enjoys rock climbing, hiking, and language learning (zur Zeit lerne ich Deutsch!).
