Bio

I am an undergraduate student studying Global Disease Biology and Animal Biology on a pre-veterinary pathway. I have been a part of the Shapiro Lab since September 2022 and I help Dr. Lauren Camp in her study on the parasite Tritrichonomous foetus in cats in order to determine its prevalence in kittens as well as the validity of currently available diagnostic methods. Outside of the lab, I am a part of the Knights Landing One Health Veterinary Clinic, an access to care clinic that aims to provide high-quality veterinary care to underserved populations such as Knights Landing. I am also passionate about women's empowerment and was the director of an undergraduate organization called Davis Women in Business which focuses on cultivating strong relationships, uplifting women in the workplace, and building professional skills. Aside from school, I love everything outdoors. I love hiking, weightlifting, playing with my dog and cat, and trying out new cuisines!
