Grace is a second year Wildlife, Fish, and Conservation major and Avian Science minor at UC Davis. She currently assists with the USDA project studying pathogen prevalence in shellfish, learning DNA detection methods of protozoan pathogens. As a pre-vet student, Grace works with a variety of different animals. She currently resides at the Avian Research Facility working with psittacines and poultry. She also works at a small animal clinic in Suisun City where she gets to assist in surgeries and veterinary appointments. Grace hopes to one day forge a career in conservation medicine through studying avian-borne diseases, and she plans to provide hands-on medical care to wild birds and shelter animals as well.
