I am a current veterinary student interested in wildlife, ecology, and conservation. I started working in the Shapiro lab in 2024 for my STAR project validating a point-of-care rapid antibody test for Toxoplasma gondii in southern sea otters. This test may hopefully be utilized by wildlife rehabilitation centers to screen for this protozoan parasite and reduce delays in care. Outside the lab, I enjoy birding, playing the saxophone, creating art, and spending time outside.
