Bio
Darrielle is a Ph.D. student in the Graduate Group in Integrative Pathobiology. Currently, her research investigates novel questions on the interaction between protozoan pathogens and microplastic pollutants. She is broadly interested in disease ecology, epidemiology, and animal health, with the hope of reducing the burden of infectious diseases on animal populations and understanding how anthropogenic activities impact animal population health. Outside of the lab, she loves binge-watching, spending time with her cat Countess Bianca, and picking up new art skills and hobbies in her pursuit to become a polymath.
