Bio
Abigail (Abi) Schoup is a PhD candidate in the School of Veterinary Science - Tāwharau Ora at Massey University in Palmerston North, New Zealand. Her PhD research focuses on land-to-sea transmission of Toxoplasma gondii in New Zealand to inform conservation management approaches for critically endangered Māui dolphins. Abi's research interests include disease ecology, wildlife management and conservation, and the One Health approach. When she's not in the field or the lab, Abi loves spending her time outdoors hiking, birding, and exploring new places.
