Elliott Chiu, DVM, PhD

Elliott is a DVM from Colorado State University, who completed his PhD research on the phylogenetics of feline leukemia virus in free-ranging pumas as well as the interactions between endogenous and exogenous retroviruses. Currently, he is an anatomic pathology resident, with a focus on zoo and wildlife, here at UC Davis/San Diego Zoo. Outside of residency and the lab, Elliott enjoys racing in triathlons, backpacking, ceramics, and photography.
